Two routes through one trap
A typical interceptor can catch bugs moving from the room towards the sleeper and bugs leaving the furniture. This can reveal both activity and direction, but only while the leg remains the route.
Measure before ordering
Record the widest point of each foot, the available floor area and whether the material can support the furniture safely. Oversized casters, broad divan feet and floor-mounted frames may not fit.
Set up the bed
Move the frame a small distance from walls, keep duvets and charging cables off the floor and place every relevant leg centrally. Avoid adding dusts or oils unless the manufacturer explicitly instructs it; residues can alter the surface.
Inspect and record
Check on a repeatable schedule in good light. Photograph and preserve any specimen, clean according to the product instructions and record the date and direction of capture.
